So I was able to purchase this Jerry Rice autographed jersey in frame for 120 on Craigslist. The person I purchased the jersey from said his father was friends with Rice and Rice had given him the jersey as a gift. Wanted to see if you guys can help me identify the year and if it is game issued or used?

Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Also, I am thinking about taking the jersey out of the frame to further examine the jersey. Any recommendations on the safest way to remove jersey from frame? Thanks

I have dealt with only 1 jersey that was framed and what a nightmare. It was glued on the arms of the jersey. Had to use some goo-gone to get the glue residue off and it was time consuming but it worked with no staining.

Have you taken the frame apart to see how it is mounted ? It should come off via the back. They usually have metal pieces holding the back into place and you have to flip them up or to the side.

Also regarding the jersey itself. I think most will agree we would need pictures of the front tagging.

Gotta love criagslist

Hey Phil, thanks for the input. I've examined the jersey and it seems the framer threaded the jersey onto the felt. I'll check out the backside of the frame when I head home from work.
