      Since the jersey is not of a star player there is a good chance the jersey was recycled from 98 for use in 99. All they needed to do is add the 5 on the sleeve.

          Probably fine. I have an issued 2007 jersey (with the #10 on sleeve), but with 2006 tags. Not a big deal.
