I just picked this up and was told its his 1st authenticated game used bat of the season. Lets hope he's been using the same bat since he was called up. I had about 10 minutes so I tried to do a quick photo match, tell me what you think. This picture is from his 2nd HR of the year.

That fact that he is a bare knuckler makes me love this bat so much more. Great pickup Korey!

Is that bat even legal in the majors? I thought they couldn't be blue.

Never mind, probably the whole bat can't be blue. But nice bat.

Thanks guys for the help. I found out last night that he kept the first hr bat for his own personal collection. I'm still looking for pics of his 1st couple hits as this bat might of been used . I saw a photo of him the first day in Boston with my bat taking swings.

I wasn't really looking to sell it but I guess everything can be bought. I'm not really a bat collector but this one is way cool. you can email me at cubbs1232@msn.com but I can't promise I'd sell it.

ended up picking up another myers bat that is pounded. I've already matched it from July 27 back to the 20th. This bat might have 2-3 hrs on it/

If anybody cares... I asked Max Bat about the Wil Myers model WM1 and what publicly available model it is most similar to and the differences to said bat. The reply is the WM1 is a "Model R10 with a beefed up barrel."

Makes sense, I am fairly sure Wil started out using R10 in the minors and thought the WM1 looked similar.

http://www.maxbats.com/bat/r10/11

Made from extremely dense wood, the R10 packs a huge punch in a small package. The barrel is long and lean and has an appetite for cowhide.
Handle: 15/16" Dia. | Barrel: 2 7/16" | Knob: 1 7/8" | Weights: +2 to -3
