Darren Daulton ill

Yahoo Sports reported that 3-time NL All-Star and popular former Phillie Darren Daulton has been diagnosed with 2 brain tumors, and will have surgery to remove them next week.

If you do pray, say one for Darren, a nice guy and quality player of his time.

I was saddened to hear that news myself yesterday....I was fortunate enough to meet Daulton at an event a couple years ago and he was kind enough to sign this photo for me...

I wish him the best!

Although Daulton did have 2 tumors surgically removed, he has been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an intursive form of brain cancer which likley allows him 1-3 more years of life.

I worked with him in the mid 1990s when he was with the Phils and of course recently for last auction.
