Hi.

I Tried Matching This Helmet To Hundreds Of Hi-res Pics From 2011, 2012, And 2013 And I Can't Find Anything Even Remotely Close And Usually When It Comes To Photomatching, I'm Pretty Good...

Can Anyone Please Help Me Out Here. If You Have A Few Minutes, Would You Please Have A Look At The Helmet And Please Let Me Know Your Thoughts...

Thanks So Much,
Jay

I say it don't look like a real game issued/ worn helmet.. The padding on the inside looks a lot the the the reproduction helmets many people buy for 125-200 and get autographed ..
Just my opinion and I'm no expert but look at the padding on other revolution helmets seems a lot different on the ones I seen .

Again just my 2 cents..

And for the amount of wear on it he would have had a Great game and would be able to photomatch all those marks.

From the 3 minutes of research I did, I found several inconsistencies.
* Riddell front decal is the old style logo
* No quick change hardware on the lower facemask mounts
* wrong chinstrap
* interior padding is from a VSR4, not a Revo
* facemask dip looks really thick
* wrong screws holding the chinstrap down

I'd pass...

I tried to contact the owner but he's on vacation. How convenient. I'd pass

Just looked at the helmet a little more...

* Riddell stopped using their logo with the rounded 'R' in 2008. So the front bumper decal is 4+ years outdated (if this is supposed to be a 2012 helmet)
* Looks like the Pats don't use the quick-change facemask hardware on the Revolution classic models (I was wrong)
* Hernandez wears a hard cup Riddell strap. This is a soft cup
* Interior padding is fine (I was wrong)
* The warning label on the back of this helmet is a reproduction and the font color is inconsistent with what's used on the Pats' helmet.
* There are no reconditioning or recertification stickers on the inside of the helmet (NOCSAE)
* The back sweatband decal is a bastardized reproduction decal, with incorrect font, sized for a VSR4.

My guess is that this was a back-yard reconditioning effort, with eBay customizer decals, that this dude had signed by Hernandez. So yes, it was probably game used (by Joe Blow), and yes it is signed by Hernandez (NE Pictures is legit), but it was never worn or used by Hernandez.

Given all of the other issues, and that the seller is lying about its origin, I'd also question the signature.

STAY AWAY.

Those gloves are worth 4 grand, easy. Think what they will be worth in15 years. What do Rae Caruth gloves go for nowadays?

Not sure why anyone would want anything from a murderer. This guy had everything in life he could possibly want or need and he messed it up. What an idiot?!
