I saw it listed in the catalog as 1997 Rookie Bat of Vladimir Guerrero and questioned it. I went online and the PSA/DNA letter in fact states it from the 1998 labeling period.

I would say 1996 and 1997 can get away with being Rookie Bats for Vlad (I would heavily prefer 1996).

Was this just missed? I can see a 1998 labeling period bat being used in 1999 but not 1997.

I was directed by a forum member to another forum members website where he shows the bat and lists it as a 1998 year bat. Guess it was a Goldin typo. Thanks guys.

It is a '98 label but I have not seen another Vlad gamer with just "Guerrero" on the barrel. I have seen other early Vlad's with "V. Guerrero". Maybe BMH could shed some light on whether or not they tried any of these smaller center brands at the end of the '97 season? I believe this to be one of the earliest Vladdy gamers to hit the market in years (other than a Pro Stock minor league stick).
