    Yoenis Cespedes HR Ball

MLB Auctions has a Cespedes HR ball from the HR Derby. I'm looking forward to following this auction as it should reach the $1000 plateau shortly!

they slapped the hologram on every ball that was an out or that they got back when they bounced on the field. they were set up on the field behind the safety net and were snapping pictures of the bal right there as it was happening.

Forget the ball, he hit 32 of them out. I'd rather have the bat.

Agreed. You think they will post any bats for auction?

100% agree about the bat. I didn't pay close enough attention, did he use 1 or more? No matter what, kid put on a hell of a show.

Fun fact: If you add the combined distance of Home Runs hit by Yoenis Cespedes during this years HR Derby, it would reach from CitiField to his home. In Cuba.

I check all the time looking for a Cano derby bat to go up from the years he's done it and have never seen one for auction.
Only bat I ever saw for auction through mlb.com was a Jose Bautista HR derby bat.
If I remember correctly, I believe it was some time after the ASG, not with the ASG auction items.

Cano did break a bat on his last swing I believe, maybe it will pop up for sale. I'd love to see a forum member get it.

Not sure if Cespedes used more than one bat since I only saw him club 17 in the first round, but that was a really nice looking SAM with criss cross handle tape.

Cespedes was using a Chandler bat during the derby. I don't think he uses SAM bats. I'm pretty sure Bryce was swing a Chandler also but haven't looked at any pics.

They were both swinging Chandler. All the rage these days!

Bryce Harper used His Marucci bat with red decals for the first round. He's used that bat for a few games now before the home run derby. The last round he switched bats so maybe that Marucci bat will show up for auction which would be great since its a true season game used and now used for the home run derby.
On that note it is so hard to see which Marucci bat he does use during the season since he always faces the decals towards his face and tv rarely catches the full front. I'm trying to photo match a Harper bat I bought and am having a hard time finding a good shot of which Marucci bat he's using at the plate.

You are correct sort of as Bryce Harper swung 2 Chandler bats in the HR Derby. Bryce swung a Red Label Chandler in Round 1 and a Gold Label Chandler in Round 2 & 3.

I stand corrected. Since he always spins the decals on his bats torwards his face, finding decent pics to photomatch are hard to come by.

Easy mistake. I was trying to determine myself as we were watching and my 10 year old was tweeting out in excitement the bats Bryce Harper was using so I had his eyes telling me what was going on "live".

i'd love to grab that bat Yoenis used if it ever came up... Would look awesome in a shadow box with my Japan series jersey in which he got his first MLB hit and HR while wearing.
