Can anyone give me some idea on how much Roger Clemens Game Used Jersey are going for throughout his career from different teams?
What would be a good price range? I'm looking for some of his jerseys from his Red Sox, Houston and the Yankees year. :)

Thanks you in advance and Happy Thanksgiving.

I recently consigned a 1985 Red Sox Home Roger Clemens Jersey to Mastro Auctions and it sold for $4,376 not including the buyers premium which I think is around 17.5% which brings the total to $5141.80. I bought it back in 1990 from a dealer in SCD I think his name was George Lyons out of New York for $750. I hope this helps with the pricing of an early Clemens jersey.

There is a 1997 Clemens Toronto jersey on ebay right now but the asking price is $10,000 a bit steep. Here is the link:

Hope this helps.

I sold a 2005 Road Clemens gamer with all proper use characteristics, similar to the one here:

http://www.egameused.com/clemens_2004_jersey.html

It sold for $3750 and was unsigned. I sold a 2006 Red Alternate that was signed and inscribed with "Rocket" for $7000.

I have been offered $21,000 for the jersey listed above from a prominent New York collector. This same collector paid $8000 for a 2004 Home Pinstripe that with a Lampson COA that had a straight stitched inner "0062" tag outside of the seam.

Be cautious of Astros jerseys out there. Make sure the "0062" tag is stitched into the seam and not straight stitched on top of the inner seam. Also, good Clemens jerseys are missing the front tagging. Unfortunately, anyone can remove the tagging from a issued jersey and make this appear.

Clemens Astros jerseys should show heavy, heavy use. The inside of the one I linked above is yellowed on the inside and around the collar as he sweats profusely.

Finally, I would avoid Size 50 jerseys. From my sources, he has never worn those to pitch, and the Roger Clemens Foundation has countless Size 50 gamers that they distribute through charity organizations for auctions, etc. They are not worn, but issued and were ordered through the Astros, so they have proper 0062 tagging.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for all the replies.

I'm currently doing some researches on the previous sales from various auction house. Just want to get some ideas before doing any buying. I'm pretty surprised that some of his jerseys even went for $10,000+ considering that he is still playing and not even in the hall yet :).
I can't think of that many player today with those type of prices (even from 2006) except for Jeter. WOW !!

What about the rarity? Which team would collector's prefer to have his jersey from? I've heard that there was one up for sale from Grey Flannel, his Yankees 1999 #12 jersey. Did anyone get the final price on that piece?

Hopefully, I can get a few of his Astros and maybe a Yankees jersey later on. When is this guy going to retire, LOL !!
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Too bad mastro and grey flannel doesn't have the past auction archives. I'm sure they've sold quite a few of Clemens stuff in the past. :(

From Auction Report:

1999 Roger Clemens #12 New York Yankees Game-Used Road Jersey $5,896

I'm not sure if that included the buyers premium.

I purchased an awesome Roger Clemens complete 1997 road Blue Jays uniform from his Cy Young year. This jersey comes with complete jersey and pant tagging plus a LOA from the Blue Jays. I purchased this 2 years ago from Authentic Gamers, Inc. for $ 6,750.

thanks,
