How to retrieve/find eBay message from Jan 2013?

Looking for messages I traded with a seller about an item that sold at beginning of this year.
Looks like they're gone, but was wondering how I can find the messages or even the item listing, if possible.

Did you delete all your messages on the eBay site? What about Sent messages?

I didn't manually delete them, but my guess is eBay cleaned them out after a certain time passed.
