Chris Davis and his 50th home run

One local radio show on WMVP-AM 1000 detailed the saga of the return of the 50th HR slugged in Toronto by Oriole Chris Davis.

Apparently, Davis was skeptical that he'd get the ball back, but was pleasantly surprised when security informed him that a guy holding the apparent ball and four friends were waiting outside the Baltimore clubhouse.

Davis greeted the men, and asked the one with the ball if he caught it. The guy said no, but told Davis that he bought it for $100 from a Blue Jays fan who caught it.

The fan didn't ask for anything other than to shake Davis' hand and to get a few photos of he and his buddies with Davis. He didn't ask for any game-used equipment, although Davis not only agreed to the fan's requests, but also gave him a signed bat and other items.

Thanks for sharing. We have done 3 signings this year with Chris Davis. Each time he has been great and he really appreciated some of the custom items we had.
