Unless it's already somewhere on the site and I just haven't noticed it, this forum could really use one place to go to get info on how the various pro bat manufacturers "date" their bats. Maybe one of those threads that sit atop the thread list and don't get pushed down?
Anyway, would I be wrong in assuming that a Phoenix bat that says "MFN-1-1-12" was made on New Year's Day of 2012? It seems kind of obvious, I guess, but then you never know.
I also recently acquired a Tucci Lumber bat with "10091290" on it, which I was going to guess meant a manufacture date of 9/12/10, with the "90" being some kind of order number, like on an Old Hickory bat...but this particular player, in 2010, was sixteen years old and still in the Dominican Republic, so I'm thinking that guess was off.
