I have my reservations about this jersey? All of a sudden I feel as if some of the recycled and proven incorrect Namath "issued" game jerseys are all suddenly showing up as "practice" jerseys. I know that players in camp used to suit up in full uniforms for various photo shoots, but I don't have any evidence of players using jerseys with names on the back in practice for the Jets in the late 60s-early 70s? If anyone has any photos, I'd love to see them...

And the tag on this jersey looks awfully pristine for the condition of the upper half of this jersey, no?

My intent was not to slam the jersey or the auction house. I learned years ago that the only thing that is consistent with the hobby is its inconsistency. So, I revisited a few sites that posted Wilson tagging and could not find that style of Wilson tagging from the era they say the jersey is from.

I have a Namath practice jersey from 1971. I was told my jersey was ordered by the Jets but Namath did not wear it because of an injury. While researching my jersey, I've found plenty of scans of Jets wearing practice jerseys in game action but so-far, I am unable to locate an image showing the back with a NOB.

I've added scans showing Namath in game action. To me, in the first and last scans, the jersey material appears to be a brilliant white while the middle scan, (102492950) looks to be the same color as my jersey. But again, I was told my jersey was an issued and not worn.

Precisely. I just didn't add the year because the early/mid 1990s are the only time frame I am aware of Wilson supplying the 'Fins>

I've seen similar Namath/Wilson jerseys multiple times before on ebay...
There's one on ebay now, seller says its tagged Wilson size large, no picture of the tag but I believe the tag is identical to the one at auction..
