Louisville Slugger with no team name or LS under player name always a 90?

I was wondering if a LS bat with no team name or Louisville Slugger under the player name was unique to 1990 or if they did it other years?

    Thanks

As far as I know it was only during 1990.

"On pro model H & B bats made in 1990 the words LOUISVILLE SLUGGER do not appear on the barrel label of the bat (photo insert). Note the absence of any lettering underneath the player's name. This label change came as a result of H & B's jumbo lettering appearing on the back of the barrel on 1989 All Star Game and post-season bats. MLB imposed restrictions on bat manufacturers prohibiting trade names on the barrel label."

----- BATS, Malta, Fox, Riddell, and Specht. 1995 p.53

Therefore, only in 1990, H & B pro bats barrel label was reduced to two lines --- GENUINE followed by the Model Number on the top line, above the player's name on the second line.
