    USC Football Jersey Question

Have an interesting piece I picked up the other day. It's a dead ringer for a c. early-mid 1980s Ronnie Lott/Martin French/Eric Affholter (players that wore 42 during jersey's era) USC jersey. Sleeve stripes, numerals, etc all match stylistically. Only thing is, I know Goodman and Sons supplied most USC jerseys during the 80s, and the jersey I have is a Sand Knit. This is definitely not a game used jersey, since it lacks the expected wear for a Lott GU jersey.

I'm curious if Sand Knit ever supplied game or practice jerseys to USC at any point (making this a possible team-issued jersey) or if it's a very well-done replica. Any help appreciated!

Not likely as Sand Knit (Medalist) didn't have a contract to supply uniforms to USC. In the 1970s it was mainly Rawlings - although some Russell jerseys are also known to exist - then predominantly Goodman & Sons from around 1980 until the athletic program made an overall equipment deal with Nike in 1995.
