I don't know if this is legit or not, but I have some questions that board members might be able to answer. This 1975 Home Reggie Jackson GU Jersey is on eBay at the moment.

www.ebay.com/itm/171201428813?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

It has photos of a Dave Miedema LOA (dated Oct 7, 2013), and one from Steve White (dated July 24, 2013), who bought the Weimerskirch collection. Both are just signed letters with no photos of the jersey mentioned, but both mention the jersey being signed. The seller also shows a receipt for a Schwartz sports signing where he got Jackson to sign and inscribe it. The original photo of the signing receipt has now been edited to hide the date of the signing which was November 2013. I asked the seller about the discrepancy with the dates and he said he told Dave it was going to be autographed in November so the LOA wouldn't have to be redone. No explanation about the White LOA date discrepancy.

I know Dave is a member here, so maybe he can clarify if this is legit or not. Also here is a link to a discussion on Mears mentioning only 1 all original 75 Jackson jersey, which was auctioned by SCP this month (link added too) and 1 restored 75 Jackson. Neither the LOAs, nor the seller description mention any restoration. Thanks for any info, again, not saying this is good or bad, just want other's opinions.

I thought both tags had to have a blue border.

I saw this auction also and thought the same thing.

Also what I find funny is the seller mentions one just sold for $11,000. So why only ask $4,999 for yours?

Found this online regarding blue lines on the McAuliffe tags. Written by Dave Miedema.

Confusing. On this GUU thread, Lon Lewis has a photo of a green 75 Jackson without the blue on the McAuliffe tag

I too wonder why the seller didn't consign this to an auction house. If real, it seems it would sell for a lot more than the $4999 it failed to sell at before.

Also hate the signature right on the A. Underneath would have looked much better in my opinion :)

Here's another part of Lon's study - still confusing to me.

Yes, I did look at that piece and, blue border or not, I was convinced by the consistent and evident wear that the jersey exhibited. Various signs were present that convinced me that the wear was proper and consistent, and not simulated.

I'm not sure why the seller is asking what he is pricewise, but that's a question I have no means of answering.

The fact that he owns it gives me more reason it's fake. Wasn't he knowing to have altered items.

I think this seller seems to be one to stay away from based on his past actions noted in threads. Thanks for the info

Is this item getting shill bid? When you see about 20 bids in a row very close together? Looks odd to me.

I'm late getting to this, but does anyone have pictures of the Weimerskirch jerseys? I started talking to Mark just before he left the hobby and he promised a disk of pictures of his jerseys. I never got it, but I thought maybe he had sent some others out. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to copy and send out?
