    Older game used shoe question

    Hi guys-

I had a question regarding the leather aging on older game used shoes. Specifically, I have some shoes from the mid 1980's, and have found the leather becomes stiff, but not brittle. I was wondering if any of you have found this to be the case with your shoes? I read up online about "dry" vs. "wet" rot, but think it does not really apply to my shoes as the leather simply stiff and they have been stored appropriately since I got them.

I would love to hear anyones opinions.

    Thanks

    Joe

I've got some late 70s to mid 80s Converse. I think the older ones were a pretty rigid shoe, even brand new. The mid 80s custom shoes are unused and I received them in the original Converse boxes. They were made of a softer leather, but seem unchanged due to age. Storage probably factors in.
