I have a half dozen Schmidt game used bats, but none with as much pine tar. Mike isn't a big pine tar type of guy. The bat looks good, but there is alot of pine tar.

It looked blotchy to me, like it was applied(doctored) by someone. This is clearly just my opinion.
Kevin, take a look at a couple of 1988 Donruss ball cards and another 1988 card. For comparison on your 1987 bat, the pine tar seems to be in line with the photo you took of yours. Shows quite a bit above the red ring and heavy, with the signed photo card as much if not more than yours. Let me know what you think. Barry
