I have seen two Jim Brown jerseys sell over the past few days, with a massive discrepancy in prices. I will state that I'm not very well versed in Jim Brown jerseys, and have done minimal research on both jerseys. I have had a very hard time finding good photos of Jim's playing days, to try and match the jerseys.
My main question for the Jim Brown collectors out there, is why the massive difference in price? Both have repairs, both show wear...I realize that the Hunt Auction jersey is listed as "have been used in summer practice and early season warm weather games for NFL teams at the time.". But to me, worn in a game, means worn in a game, early season or not. Wondering if there were any Jim Brown experts to shed some light, I'd love to get educated on this.
Sold in Mears on 2/1 for $61,212
Sold in Hunt Super Bowl Auctions on 2/3 for $30,000
