Opinions please on a grail item

Randy White "the manster" game used on eBay. Strange length added to this. Any experts out there have any thoughts on this? Much appreciated

I noticed both are gone... I don't know about the jersey, but I couldn't find any evidence of Randy ever wearing that style facemask or side clips on the helmet? And the helmet was narrowed down to the mid 80's by the recertification stickers.

He wore it late '87 or '88.

To me...
He wore that mask late in his career. I was trying to match up the side mounting holes to see if the same helmet could take both the older style mask that he wore in 85, 86 as well as the new style on the helmet that he wore in '87. When I noticed it gone this morning, I didn't bother. There were three recon stickers on the interior. When I look at the outside of the shell, there doesn't seem to be three or four seasons of wear for a Randy White shell. The jersey was hammered - much like I would have expected the shell to be. I understand the new paint and the new decals/stripes, but I didn't see any gouges under the paint for 3 seasons of wear.

I wonder if it was worn by another player prior - fit White's mellon so he wore it late in his career. The Cowboys are famous for recycling helmets worn by others - even today.

The jersey looked good. I have a few 49er gamers where the team added extra length to jerseys from other jerseys. The cannibalized portion of the jersey that provided the extra length still had the tags.

It is a Michael Carter gamer from the early 90s with a portion of an old Russell gamer attached. The Russell tagging is from 1986-89.

I wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts on the jersey. I contacted the seller who had pulled both items saying he reconsidered getting rid of either of them. So I had no choice (much to the chagrin of my bank account) but to make him an offer he couldn't refuse :) Excited to add this grail to my collection - my first game jersey of my favorite all time player! Now does anyone here need snow shoveled, car washed, grass cut, etc I need to make some extra cash :) Thank you again everyone for your help
