I've purchased several jersey display cases on Amazon from sfDisplay for around $120 each with free shipping (not always offered). The frames are a glossy black finish with UV plexiglass, brass hinges and locks. They are large enough to display my football jerseys. Shipping is really fast and the case is packed well protected. They come with the hardware to hang the case from the wall but I use z bars on mine which I purchase from a picture frame store. The good thing about it is the hinged door so it is easy to swap out the jersey even with the case hanging on the wall.

This one is a little cheaper, but no lock.

I too see this topic as very timely for personal reasons. I thought I remembered a provider which sold and shipped the materials to the dimensions needed, for assembly by the customer. But, I can't find the thread that discussed it.

Does anyone remember the company which did that?

Do theirs have it where you have to put the pins in the jersey, and not hang it up? They don't have a lock, right?

Appreciate all the responses , that's why I love this forum/hobby. Do the hobby lobby frames allow the jersey to hang ?!!

In the long run what ever you decide make sure to be smart about it. For instance if the item is something that means a lot to you for what ever reason or has a decent value then going cheap may not be a smart move.

Def check out my thread of ,y collection....potential hof's. Look at the 3 frames below the oversized Jordan picture/poster. I've received lots of compliments and questions. Has lock and key, great finish, no pins and I think $79. Has diff sizes. And easily interchangeable. In the pic they have farve, Rodgers and brees.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I am hoping someone sees this and can help with my question. I am needing a jersey frame that is atleast 38" wide & 35" long. Does anyone know where I can find ones this size? The ones I see on amazon are not big enough.

Like was mentioned earlier, check out sfdisplay on ebay/amazon. I use them for my jerseys. I have my game used Shaq jersey in 1 and that is obviously a very large jersey and it fits pretty good. Also don't use any pins either.

The way sfdisplay uses the hanger looks like it could damage a jersey after awhile. Also they don't have one big enough.

The biggest non-custom shadow box you are going to find is from Michael's. You can get 30x40 for as little as $80. No pins needed. Non-slip hangar with broad shoulder ends prevents stretching.

If you really need the size you state and can't compromise, your cheapest option is going to be to go to a swap meet that has custom framers, if you live near a larger city. Here in the OC, there is a local company that does great work at a fraction of what a custom shop would charge.

My problem is that I don't like the jersey folded up. I like to have the whole thing pressed out flat.

If you prefer the jersey pressed flat, that should really help you in the price department because you will not require a shadow box. You might look into a frame at Hobby Lobby/Michaels.

Perhaps this option would work: http://www.amazon.com/36-Black-Poster-Frame-Profile/dp/B00K644RY0/ref=pd_sbs_hg_10?ie=UTF8&refRID=1C6HT9G14HS7YYEWXRFZ

I wonder if everything is acid free?

What sort of price range are you looking for? I think part of the problem you are going to be facing is you want something very specific and not that common, but you aren't necessarily wanting to spend a lot? If you want super cheap you will have to make a few sacrifices.

I think the company in the link esquiresports (http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/member.php?u=7829) posted can help. They are going to be about $130 with shipping. I was trying for less than $200. They say it is all acid free also.
