Hey, guys. Recently picked this up out of a vintage clothing store. It's a vintage seven-button flannel "Bears" jersey, only I can't quite nail down where it comes from. I picked this up in northern California, so I have a feeling it might be a Cal Berkeley men's baseball jersey, but the pictures from the 40s-60s (era I am guess it is from) aren't exactly readily available. It shows minor use -- some staining across the chest as seen in pictures, but is in otherwise stunning shape. All buttons are in tact, jock tag looks great, stitching is still tight and in tact. One of the best features of this jersey is the Bear patch on the left shoulder -- high-quality embroidered detail.

Anyhow, take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any info or insight about the jersey.

Based on the Wilson tagging, I would focus my search around the late 50's to early/mid 60's.

It might be worth a try to contact the Sports Information Director at Cal to see if they have any old photos in their archives. Since this appears to be a road jersey, you might actually have better luck approaching Stanford or other conference schools.

Best wishes in your search!

You might want to try Dewey. His username is "Dewey2007". He is a big Cal Bears collector and I believe, works for Cal Berkeley.

The front of the jersey looks like an old Denver Bears jersey. I also know that they used a bear face in marketing at times, but not sure if they used it as an arm-patch. Also, Wilson made their jerseys at around that period.

I don't think it's Berkeley. The "B" in Bears would have a loop at the bottom from that period, I believe.
