Just got this Ted Williams signed and inscribed "Used May 27 1984" bat from his last plate appearance EVER. Used in the 1984 Red Sox Old Timer's day game, and he used this exact bat for his last at-bat. Comes with a full LOA from PSA Taube and a LOA from PSA for the autograph. Can this be worth crazy money to the right collector? Please let me know your thoughts

I'm sure to the right buyer or Ted Williams fanatic it would be. For me personally though I'd probably put it in the same category as like a jersey or ball used by a player for a commercial shoot or celebrity softball game, etc. Since he is an all timer and HOF player it might be worth more than a regular player, but I'm not sure if you'd end up fetching crazy ie 200k+ for it. Heck, but what do I know? :) Its always worth what someone will pay!

Not to burst your bubble, but Goldin sold the "last hit" bat in their 2/14 auction—and it wasn't this one—so I'd be curious about the provenance behind this one's authenticity. They look very similar except that the one Goldin sold had "last hit" written on it. See here:

Maybe Ted pulled bats from that game and added the last game designation to them with the one Goldin had being the "last hit."

I would guess its worth about:

Final Bid(Includes Buyers Premium): $2,523.90

Went for great price because consignor needed the money and would NOT let me break up the two bats of his into two different auctions .
Didn't want to wait until April, so both bats, both used In the same game, were sold together.

One is 6205, last hit is 6203 (see certificate), but auction listing says 6205 by mistake I believe

Oh wait, you mean the OP bat and the Goldin bat I see. Error in Goldin listing for the last hit bat, 6205 in listing with 6203 picture, got me confused. Sorry
