UCLA Vintage Game Used Jersey?

Found this old vintage UCLA jersey, and I'm not exactly sure what I found. I've never seen anything like it before, but something told me to pick it up this weekend. At worst, it's gotta be fairly old. Anyone have any insight?

I have nothing to back this up, but I feel like it may be a jersey for a "secondary" sport such as, say, volleyball.
