2012 LVS Bat without Normal Knob Stamp

Found a supposedly 2012 bat that was made when LVS's stamping machine went down (according to the seller) but was stamped with "12" for the year. I've seen other bats where they at least had the month with the year but never just the year.

Can anyone confirm that there was a time LVS did this in 2012 or if anyone else seen this before?

I thought those were the stadium sold replicas, see link above. I believe the Knob Engraving machine outage was in 2009 and those knobs were hand stamped with month day and year, ie MDY -- 8129 = 8/12/2009.

maybe engraving machine went down in 2010 also... But regardless of when or how often the stamping is used, it would have the full date not just the year. Its my understanding that the MLB maple bat guidelines put in place in 2009 require a full date code, not just a year.

I know in 2009 they did the whole date when it went down as you can see in this thread

Thanks for the help! Decided to pass on the bat as there doesn't seem much evidence of the engraving machine going down in 2012.

When it is just a two digit number like that it is for the year. That is a souvie bat.
