Hideki Matsui Meet & Greet Autograph Session

So today I was able to meet former Yankee & 2009 World Series MVP and World Series Champion Hideki Matsui !!!!! The Staten Island Yankees started selling single game tickets today at their minor league stadium . The promotion was that you buy any ticket and get a voucher for a free auto of Matsui .

I got on line around 5:00 am for the Autograph session started at 10:00 .

I was very happy that I was #2 on line ... FYI , That was only HALF of the line

So after i purchase my ticket i receive this

When I am finally let in , I see this .....

My haul for the day :

I was able to get him to sign his name in Japanese and English on a other ball but this time 09 World Series MVP inscription on it!!

The line wasn't so bad after the 1st ball so I bought a other ticket to a game and got a second voucher and had him sign the second ball .

I'm pretty happy . Figuring Steiner wants $300 just for his name in English without inscriptions !

        At 5:00 AM? Yikes!

Five hours wait for a signature - if you compare that to Stiener by the hours, that would be $60 per hour per signature. Not a bad day work.

Matsui's signature got worst as the day goes on. Some at the end or the other half - they were chicken scratch at best. But hey, they got to meet Matsui.

        Congrats on the Japanese's signature!

PS. I will wait 24-hour in advance for Tanaka, if and when that happens.
