I am looking at a few game used Angels jerseys from 1988 and noticed some players had the Rawlings tags stitched on the inside of the lower front of the jersey. Is this normal practice for some player jerseys?

Thanks,

Brian

I believe the outside of the jersey is the norm. Not sure if the inside is ok or not.

Most Rawling's jerseys from that time period were tagged that way. It wasn't something the players had done.

I have an Astros Rawlings gamer from 1987 and the tagging is on the inside. I think this is not uncommon of jerseys from that time period.

Thanks Bamahater. Can I bug you to post a closeup pic of the stitching for reference?

Much appreciated Bamahater. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the tags were so different between 1987 and 1988. Either way, I appreciate your help.

I agree with Hoosier39. Angels jerseys from then should have tagging on the outside.

Can't compare against other teams since they all have their different styles. Many times you can't even compare a team's home with a road jersey from the same year since they may use different tagging styles/makers. Nowadays things are pretty standard, but back then...
