    mlb authentication ????

I have a JJ Hardy Gu bat that has a mlb sticker on the barel. When it was shipped I guess some of the letters got worn off. I tried to contact them and ask about it, but never got a response. Is there a way to find the info out?? I can post a pic later on.

Is it the letters that are worn off or the numbers? Because if it's the letters then you could very easily walk your numbers down the hologram database using all the different letter prefixes. Also, I highly doubt the letters/numbers were worn off during shipping the more likely scenario is that the bat had the hologram put on it before Hardy was finished using it. This is common practice and I've seen bats from notable players like Longoria, A. Gonzalez and Arod all with worn stickers from being used after the hologram was put on it.

I emailed MLB about this as well and asked if I could get it re-authenticated.
They initially said they'd like to see a photo, but since I sent it a year ago, no further response.
