1994 Braves Fred McGriff - Ebay

Looking for any opinions on this jersey. Seller claims he received it directly from McGriff after a game on August 19, 1994? He also said that it doesn't have a year tag or the 125th patch. The size also seems small as McGriff was wearing a 44 with the Padres. Not sure if there was a drastic size difference between Russell and Wilson in the early 90s.

While I think the jersey size is a small clue, I think there are many other more obvious problems...

Cant imagine a 94 gamer without the anniversary patch especially if it was given to him after a game??? (no chance of it being removed after the season, etc)

Perhaps some other members can confirm but I thought the majority of
the year tags were on the bottom tail of the jersey...don't recall many
Wilson tags in the collar during that era...

There are always exceptions, especially with higher profile players as their jerseys are the ones that 'disappear' more often than the others....so perhaps ask for more pics (the tail for one) and check out some other
examples of 94 jerseys....

This, along with some of the great feedback some of our members give, should give you a pretty good idea toward what to do..

Size is too small in my opinion. Most likely a custom made jersey.

I have seen a size 44 and 46 of Fred's when he played for the Braves. Aldo the tagging in my opinion should be near the bottom front tail.

I have multiple 94' Braves gamers from Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz. All have the Anniversary patch and the tagging in the front tail. Size is incorrect also.
It is not a game used jersey.

I have a McGriff 93' Padres Road jersey size 44. My 95' is a 46.

I just realized that last night. I completely forgot that it was a shortened season.

With the Wilson tag being where it I, I'd guess it to be a minor league jersey that was customized to "create" a McGriff jersey. Size is off, too.
