    removing auto from GU helmet

I have a GU helmet with a silver Sharpie auto on the bill. The auto didn't come out very well when I had it done and I'd like to remove it and get it re-done. Does anybody have a sure fire way to remove a Sharpie auto off a helmet? Thanks.

Try Goo-gone. I use it everything.

I wouldn't use anything, since it *might* strip the paint (if the helmet was painted). How ugly is the signature that you'd want to remove it? Could you post pictures?

Try tooth paste or hairspray on a q-tip

Rubbing alcohol and a q tip will work.
