Need help to identify what this Yankee's jersey is!

I picked up this Yankees jersey at a local sale for cheap. Not really into baseball jersey's at all but this one caught my eye because it had a name sewn on the collar. Not really sure what this jersey may be but it also has no name on the back just a number and its made by wilson. The owner said it was given to him years ago as a gift but was selling it now. If anyone can help and let me know what kind of jersey this is i would really appreciate it.

you are correct about the wilson tagging come to think of it. I tend to agree with the neck tag as well. A little to think stitching as well compared to other 1980 jerseys.

I believe they began using those Wilson tags in 1986, and the "care on reverse" was removed from the size tag in 1989.

So let me understand. The poster bought this at a local store real cheap and doesn't know who the player is, but the same jersey is also on ebay for $99 opening bid and is identified as a Reggie Jackson.

It is amazing to me that there are 2 identical fake Reggie Jackson jerseys that have surfaced on the same day. Perhaps the poster should take his back to the "local store" and get his $10 back. :mad:
