Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
Thanks R.C.
So is the MEARS one may be retail jersey since it's missing the "B."?
Just to let you know I had the opportunity to speak with Bubba and he mentioned he was looking for one of these camo jerseys which he wore as a Padre. I told him I'd ask around. I could probably ask him if all his jerseys had the "B. " on the back.metsbats86@aol.com

Thanks for the photos of the NOB jerseys David. Nice glove too!
I agree he's a very pleasant and down to earth guy to talk too.metsbats86@aol.com

Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
One former Wrigley Field Ballhawk has a unique Bubba T.item: the ball Bubba hit for the first HR ever by a Devil Ray (spring training 1998). When I was in contact with the guy, he said he'd sell it for $1,000. However, I haven't seen the guy for about 8 years and, to be honest, given the way he and I often butted heads, I likley wouldn't bee very enthusiastic helping him sell something, so please don't ask me to hook you up. I have no means to contact him whether I wanted to or not.

Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
I wouldn't say the Trammell's a retail. Hard to tell. The concern of mine was the missing "B.". That's why I did not bid.
As far as the Getty's photos, I believe the one without the "B." is from Spring Training. All the regular season jerseys I've seen (of course, I haven't seen every single jersey) have it.
Additionally, each Alan Trammell I have come across has the NOB as "TRAMMELL".
No concrete answer on this one. But, if I thought it was 100% authentic, I would have bid on it.

Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
Bubba thinks during one of the years he wore the camo jersey with the Padres (01 or 02) only "TRAMMELL" and not "B. TRAMMELL" was on the back. He actually has video of the game he wore the camo jersey and said he'd check and let me know.metsbats86@aol.com

Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
- Home whites in 01 and 02 certainly had the "B. TRAMMELL"
- BLUE gamers in 01 and 02 only had "TRAMMELL"
- BP only "TRAMMELL"*
*players don't remember everything
I told him there are photos of him with BPs which have both "B. TRAMMELL" and "TRAMMELL" To figure this out I think we have to look at the goatee. Bubba did not wear a goatee in 2001 and only started wearing one in 2002 ( I' m waiting on confirmation on this one too). So the photo in this thread with Bubba sporting a goatee is from 2002 and his BP has "B. TRAMMELL". This makes sense because the other photo he does not have a goatee and his BP only has "TRAMMELL" which would date this one in 2001.
Now the camo jersey photo which R.C provided shows Bubba with a goatee and what appears to be "B. TRAMMELL" on the back of the jersey (which is consistent with the BP pattern). Bubba indicated he remembers having a Camo without the "B." like the one in the Mears auction so the 'B." less Camo must be from 2001.
Does this make sense?metsbats86@aol.com

Re: Bubba Trammell jersey
Yes I know the photo of goatee Bubba with "B. TRAMMELL" indicates it's from 2001 but I've noticed not all the dates are accurate on GETTY. I've seen cases where dates and photos did not match up before.metsbats86@aol.com
