    Derek Jeter - MLB Auctions - Hit Balls

    Did anyone see those Jeter hit balls from Rays vs Yankees?
    Actual hit balls - one went for $4k plus and another is at $2k plus!!!!
    WOW - Jeter fever at it's best!

    Yeah, that 4K was an RBI single. I'm sure that's why it went for so much money. What's also funny is that the base hit Derek Jeter hit the other day against the rays to break his 0 for 30 streak was taken off the field. Michael Kay made a comment during the broadcast wondering why they took it off showing the exchange from the ballboy to the authenticator as he put the MLB sticker on and commented if that ball was going to Derek Jeter. I tweeted back to Michael Kay and said No, That ball was going to MLB auctions so the rays can sell it and make a profit!

        They also have Jeter foul balls, reached by error hit ball and pitches in the dirt during an at bat. It will be interesting to see what those go for when its all said and done.

          I guess people don't realize they will never hold even close to their value in the future. That's crazy!
