Hi Steve--

Here are models that are documented in The thrill's personal factory as having been shipped to him for professional use;

1986-1989

H176 / 34" / 32 oz / Flame treated
/ 34.5" / 31 oz / No finish
/ 34.5" / 32 oz / Flame treated / cupped
All H176 and H176C bats were shipped in 1986 only

P121C / 34.5" / 32 oz / FT 1986 only

M253 / 34.5" / 31 oz / No finish
All M253 bats were shipped in 1986...12 to SF Giants and 12 to Phoenix Firebirds

S216C / 34.5" / 32 oz / FT and Black finishes 1987 only

S2C / 34/5" / 32 oz / Galen finish

C271 / 34.5" / 32 and 33 oz / Walker (87,88,89), Galen (88,89), Hickory (67), and FT (87, 88) finishes

1990

C271 / 34.5" / 32 oz / FT

H238 / 34.5' / 32 oz / FT sent to BB Promotions with specified weight indicative of intent for professional use

During this period there were fewer than 10 bats documented as being shipped to any promo company such as Dixon brothers, BB Promotions w/ no specified weight, etc Those bats were generally 34 inches in length in models other than H176 (see above).

I have seen Will Clark bats from these two label periods with first and last name block letters.

Good luck in future collecting.

In 1990, are the bats you listed as being sent to promo company the only ones from that year? were the other promo ones you mentioned from the 86-89 period? thanks for your response:)

Hi Steve--

In 1990, the bats documented as being shipped that I would consider "for something other than Will Clark's professional use" would only be one C271 / 34 inch / 0 wt specified / Natural finish bat shipped to "Dixon Brothers," presumably with professional labeling.

Clark's personal orders of C271 in 1990 were 34.5" / 32 oz / Flame Tempered / 12 bats

The 1990 order of three model H238 bats shipped to BB Promotions specified at 34.5" / 32 oz / FT finish, are presumed to be for Clark's professional use due to the specified weight ordered. That presumption is consistent with the charting that appears in Vince Malta's upcoming book and the HOF charts as they currently appear on this website.

If you are asking about a specific bat, let me know if I can help any further.
