Noticed an interesting bat on eBay. Can anyone shed any light on this one?

Why did it go so high?

No one important probably. The two highest bidders probably were bidding on it thinking it could be game used because the seller said it doesn't have a spalding logo on the knob, but the knob looks funky in the photo.
