    Displaying MLB Home Plates?

I have one that has dirt caked in the underside, red dirt covering it - basically, tremendous game use - from the 2014 opening series between Houston and the Yankees. I bought it thinking I would eventually sell it, but it has become the family's favorite piece of baseball memorabilia. It was out on the coffee table, dirt and all, for a while. Now it's just sitting on a pile of protective paper, in a man-cave corner.

I have considered creating a plexiglass covering and using velcro to attach a fabric batter's box around it, but I would love to see examples of how others 'display' game-used home plates.

I'm the only one who's ever bought one of these?

I've seen cases made specifically for home plates. unfortunately the pricing was most likely a significant percentage of what you paid for the home plate.

Thanks. I may just cut a large piece of plexiglass, affix legs to it, and rest it above the plate.
