Beware of this Lou Gehrig bat! This sellers listing is very misleading! He states that the bat is a bin bat for Lou Gehrig. First off I have never heard the term bin bat used before in this hobby. This bat is a store model 100%!
I followed forum rules and messaged the seller before posting. I asked if there were inch marks on the knob. I then sent a follow up email because I found the listing they bought the bat from which showed the inch marks on the knob. I find it funny this seller pretty much used the same photos of the prior auction yet left out the image of the knob.
When I asked the seller how they can sell this as a bin bat and not a store model because of the inch marks on the knob. Here's what they wrote back.
Here's my second message. First one was asking if there were inch marks.
"Also how can you call this a bin bat possibly for lou Gehrig. I found the old listing and this bat has inch marks. Inch marks are store model bats! I've seen several bats like this in the past and none are listed as bin bats for lou Gehrig, they're listed correctly as store model bats."
And here's what he wrote back. "hello, please dont ever buy any of my bats.. it's a bat that was in the LS bin, the only difference is a $110, 000.00 .. "
Just thought collectors should know.
Here's the current listing and the old sale.
