Is it just me or is there a prominent ball mark on the barrel of the bat in the final photo-match picture which is not on the bat being auctioned off?

I am not sure how any of these pictures qualify as a photo match to be honest without seeing the chipped knob pre-repair.

I would have expected it to come with steiner coa for it being game used (not just the autograph), like other bats from that same season. Strange.

This same bat sold for $13,145 (which includes buyer's premium) in the same Heritage auction a year ago (lot #80157 in their Feb 2014 auction). But there was no mention of photomatching it to use by Jeter for hits 3001-3003 at that time, only that it was graded PSA GU10.

Heritage now estimates its value at $50,000.

The crack and the missing chip were repaired before the bat sold last year. However, there were no photos of the bat in its unrepaired state.

Apparently last year's buyer photomatched it after he received the bat. I assume this must have been somewhat difficult without any photos of the bat before it was repaired.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Without a photo of the pre-repaired knob, I don't see how this can be conclusive at all. The bat has white chalk on the knob- is that the only bat to ever have white chalk on the knob?

Did anyone email Chris Ivy about it?
