I was curious if anyone had any insight into MLB Auction's decision to end certain items at, to me, odd times. For example, I won an item that I thought would go for considerably more, but it ended at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday without any last-second bids and I happily won.
My question, why have an auction end at such an early time? With teams and fans obviously on the West Coast, a 7 a.m. end time just seems like it limits last-second bidders. Obviously, yes, people have days leading up to put in max bids, but I think we all recognize there is usually a flourish in the final minutes.
And as a follow up, do NBA, NFL, NHL have odd ending hours? I have never bid in any of them so wanted to know.
