Neat Article About Minor League Marketing of Game Worn Jerseys

I thought I'd share this article written about two area minor league teams (AAA level) and how they market their game worn jersey's (theme night & otherwise). Most interesting at the end is a list of the highest prices paid to date:

Given 100% of the bid goes to charity, the prices aren't that surprising... unless you're implying the prices are low.

Feel sorry for the guy who won the Domonic Brown jersey for $1300 in 2010...although he did make the NL All Star Team in 2013, he has not lived up to the hype.

      $1000 for Drew Carpenter....

The fans go nuts for jerseys at the Ironpigs games. I remember when people would be holding onto clipboards and then they did the Velcro to the table cloth. I like the computer system and wish other teams would do this so I could bid on jerseys from teams that aren't near me.
