Giambi ever use SAM bats?

I was wondering if Jason Giambi ever used SAM bats and if so does someone have the records? Thanks.

The only times I have seen him use Sam bats are during batting practice and the All Star home run derby in 2001.

I agree with RBoitano on this one...I own one of his SAM bats and it was sold to me as a BP bat from Oakland days.Still a nice bat,though..

Guys - I watch a ton of Yankee game during the season and I can't remember which year it was from ( either 2005 or 2006 ), but I have seen Giambi swing SAM bats during the regular season - not a lot, but a few times - both blonde and black bats. Hope that helps. Jim

I agree with Jim, I have also seen him use Sam bats, I think it was this past season.

It's a blond bat.If you're considering the Giambi Yankees Sam bat on E-bay,mine is identical down to the pine tar use except it says "Oakland Athletics".

alright so i did alittle research on gettys, for the post and because i too bought a Giambi Sam bat from Steiner. and to answer the question yes Giambi has used a Sam on multiple occasions and here is a short list of a few dates:

the Homerun Derby in 2002 and 2003 *blonde

April 9th 2004 vs CHSox *two-tone
July 3rd 2004 vs NYMets *blonde
Aug 17th 2002 vs Sea *blonde

i also found a few pics of him holding a Sam coming from the clubhouse
