Ebay auction just concluded just shy of $650. I wonder if now all the Piniella bats come out of hiding?

Some bats are just tough to find in the market - from the late 70's, Piniella is definitely one of them. As a collector of late 70's Yankees game used bats and jerseys, both his bats and jerseys are very tough to find. The ending price of this auction is certain to bring a few more Lou bats to market. He was always a fan favorite - and I for one, hope he comes back to the Yankees one day as a Manager.

There are earlier Piniella bats out there -- I've bought the only two sixites bats of his I've ever seen -- one from 65-68, the other from 69-72. Both are P72 models, but I'm not sure if there are any early Piniella bat records.
