On a couple of the display room posts a couple guys had the built in slat wall cases with large glass sliding doors or just large glass windows and frames. Rob Steinmetz was one.

My question is where are you all getting these glass panels and frames from? Also, if you don't mind what is the ball park price on these? DO they have a specific name to ask for?

Thanks,

Glen

I have done two different kinds of displays with slat wall. The first, at my previous residence, was a custom job that my friend and I built. It was basically 2 pieces of slat wall attached to the wall and we built a 10in deep box around it. The "glass" was two large 4x8 pieces of plexiglass. It did the job but was problematic with the thinness of the plexiglass.

The second, which I just finished last weekend at my new residence, I purchased and customized a little bit. In this version I purchased 3 black "showcases" from Roxy Display. These came with glass shelving, so I just left that out. I ended up buying 3 4x8 pieces of slat wall from Menards, trimmed them down and just screwed it into the case. I couldn't be happier. Here is an example of the case pre-modified

Honestly, the second version was a little more expensive for me, but with all the time, issues and having to wait on my friend...this version was worth it.
