The above item is signed and authenticated by PSA/DNA as a Mitch Williams autograph, which is a cool thing. However, the seller says they don't have the COA card, which also means the new owner would need to pay PSA to have a new authentication issued. That's fine, and I really think most people won't care.

The stranger aspect of this jersey has to do with the year and wash tag. If I'm understanding 1990s Phillies BP jerseys correctly, the only year that had no name on back was 1993. If that's the case, wasn't Williams wearing #99 in '93?

Also, I have always been under the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that players wear really loose BP jerseys. I think (based upon completed auctions from Goldin and Hunt) that Williams wore size 48 from 1991-1993. I don't think the size 46 is too much of a stretch for size, but I also have no clue/concept of what size Green wore, either.

The seller also has a Bledsoe jersey that doesn't look good, as well.

The Majestic tag is of 1996-97 vintage, not 1993.

Thanks Dave. So, basically, it's even further off than previously thought. The 1997 makes sense, actually. The wash tag appears to say 0006, which matches up with the 1997 assessment. I was under the impression, however, that only 1993 jerseys had no NOB.

As for the football jerseys, I have no idea, but thanks for the heads up Beach and Phil. I was thinking of getting the Bledsoe for my cousin, but no longer.

Are you guys saying Hunt's sold bum jerseys, or did someone switch the LOA to bad jerseys?

I believe Hunt's is an honest operation, but they do occasionally have a bad jersey here and there...that's why most items that are or could be game-used are described as "professional model" jerseys...no mention of game use in thusly described lots.

I looked up the item on Hunt Auctions, and the original listing sold it as simply an autographed jersey. What's weird is the Hunt picture shows no PSA sticker, and the auction just ended. Anyway, the seller took down the listing.

I noticed lots of companies and ebay auctions use the term "professional model". It sure does throw the buyer/bidder off.

Nowhere on the LOAs does it say "Game Worn", "Game Issued" or "Team Issued". The seller is selling the jerseys as such. The Bledsoe has wrong characteristics of normal Bledsoe jerseys.
