Thrift Store Pick Up Game Used Navy Football Helmet

Just picked this up this morning at a thrift store in Annapolis. It appears to be a game worn Naval Academy Football Helmet. It has markings and player name on the inside. Player is a 2004 graduate and is listed on a 2001 depth chart as a wide receiver. Shows plenty of wear and has an interesting sticker on the back. I haven't had too much time to research, but looks good so far. Any thoughts?

I've had a couple of NAVY gamers…looks legit to me. Look at NAVY 2002 game photos on Getty Images - maybe 2003 season too and see where the NCAA decal and the warning label are positioned on the rear of the helmet from game shots.

If the decals on your helmet match helmets worn in the game pictures - pretty good evidence you've a gamer.

After doing a little research, I found that the player named in the helmet is now a member of the Blue Angels.
