I have a couple bats where the tape is coming undone, and was wondering what the recommended adhesive would be to re-attach. I was thinking a glue stick, that way there wouldn't be any residue and it would eliminate any potential mess. Thoughts? Thanks!

Re: Restoring or repairing taped bat handles
Hello-
This has been asked before . . . I've found this to be the best product for reattaching tape to bats. It doesn't need to be heavily applied and is acid free/archival, so it shouldn't yellow over time.
The trick is don't overload it with glue. -
Re: Restoring or repairing taped bat handles
I'm having the same problem with bats older than 2005, I'm guessing from the dry winters I have northeast. The other issue arising from this drying is deadwood splitting and opening more on the other non-label side. If you have this dry environment, I keep important bats in tubes to regulate the humidity by adding cigar humidity packs (Boveda 69). Sounds crazy but I haven't seen any other way to tackle these issues.Comment
