Can you identify these Basketball Jerseys?

1950s, heavy red, white and blue durene, made by Sand Knit. I have seen this same "SI" logo on a letterman's jacket with a distributor's tag from Los Angeles. Could be from SoCal or somewhere on the West Coast? Any ideas?

Late 70s-early 80s Heavy mustard gold and black nylon knit, made by Powers. Number sewn on back, no name on back. Does anyone know what "STATE" this is?

I think the State is the Shockers of Wichita State and the SI looks like the Saluki's of Southern Illinois.

Thanks, Yank. Good call on the "Shockers". I have a place to start. I'll search for Wichita State media guides and programs. Just learned what a "Shocker" is. Its a wheat harvester...I think Wichita's mascot should be a "Lineman", but that's me..

I might be wrong, but I don't think the jersey with the "IS" or "SI" crest has the correct colors for Southern Illinois University.

I thought the colors were wrong, also. Southern Illinois and Illinois State wear variations of black and red. Southern Indiana wears blue and red, but did not have a basketball team in the 50s-early 60s. I saw the same logo(same colors) on a 1950s letterman jacket with a custom tag from a shop in Los Angeles. So, I think it might be a high school in Southern California. I still don't know what the "S" and the "I" stand for?
