    Franklin batting gloves?

Sometimes I see Franklin batting gloves from the 80s and 90s with the player name signed in black on the wrist flap. Were these sold retail or made for the players as player issued? Anyone know?

I will certainly be corrected, if I am wrong... but I believe it was both. I think I've seen those in retail packaging and being worn by Mike in game photos.

Sorry, I know the second photo is tiny and difficult to see, but in a rush and I didnt find any better images.

Cal Ripken Jr. was a Franklin endorser as well and had his own "signature" batting glove; interestingly enough, I have a picture of Cal wearing a Mike Schmidt signature batting glove (black in color)....
