Can anyone tell me what a 92R tag means on a Mets road jersey? Its sewn to the left of the Russell tagging. Thanks everybody.

Maybe regular season? I'm not sure of the significance of the R, but the 92R notation is normal for 1992 Mets tail tags on Russell gamers.

Some jerseys have 92s.

So most jerseys from that season include the R? I wasn't sure what it was. Thanks much for your help!

I don't know what the S or R means.

Isn't there S R and T? I always thought it meant sizing wise small regular or tall. Like a suit jacket 46R

I have a 1992 Mets jersey for auction this week, and it has the "92s" tag as opposed to the 92r tag. Also not sure what this could mean, but the theory of short, regular or tall seems plausible. R for regular season doesn't really make too much sense given the "S" and "T" on some.

I do know that 1992 was the only year in which Russell did these tags. Russell continued as a manufacturer for Mets on field jerseys until (and including) 1999 and the funny tags were never used after 1992.
