I haven't seen one with just ROSE. And theres other LVS from that same time period and they have his signature branded. Also the guy relisted it at $1,995.
Here's an S2 from 80-83. It would be strange for a block Letter ROSE to be produced when he had signature models during that time period. However from the MastroNet Reference guide R211 was a model that Rose ordered during his playing days. Perhaps the bat was block stamped during a window when Rose's contact with HB expired and a new one was being negotiated?

I'm not a bat expert, but just a thought: might such an unusual bat have come about during the time he was ordering items from Mizuno? Just a thought.
Lesson learned here, always put the .99 cent bid on the item before posting it...it would have taken a lot of bidding or shilling to reach that asking price .
I thought it could be a very interesting bat at the very least. And like a few have said, it sounds like it was probably when Rose was doing the Mizuno contract. I've searched for many, many hours on the web trying to find another one. Must be a pretty rare Rose bat? I feel confident it will come up again. Thanks for everyones input, Stanley
I looked at it again and noticed two things. 1. The Rose stamping isn't straight and even, theres couple letters crooked. 2. The model number is also stamped funny. The second 1 is almost side ways.
quite a few getty image shots of Pete using a Louisville Slugger with this style knob while playing for the Phillies. Similar finish as well. The block "Rose" is probably about impossible to find a photo of.
A guy named Peter Redflower just messaged me, he heard we were taking bets on the bat's legitimacy. He said to wait til the pot is high and to put a bid in for him but to keep it on the down low. He sounded out of breath like he never takes it easy, always hustling around.
Well......Tell you the truth...I bought it. Did not pay asking price. And I came here for help first. So did I just buy a new stake for my cow fence? It needs one anyway.
