Oh let me tell you about Bo Jackson...

"AND IS UNCRACKED ON THE BARREL OF THE BAT IT HAS HIS NAME IN SCRIPT WITH GRAND SLAM ABOVE THAT AND LITTLE LEAGUE BELOW HIS NAME. ON THE KNOB OF THE BAT IS THE NUMBER 8 WHICH MEANS THE BAT IS 28 INCHES LONG."

I would guess the "8" on the knob of the bat would be Bo Jackson's number, not how many inches anything is.

I do remember sitting a Comiskey Park watching Bo three times. First time was the last night game at The Old Comiskey Park. Cameras were flashing, but when Kansas City's Bo Jackson batted you would have thought Muhammad Ali was lighting the Olympic torch, as there were more flashes flashing than I had ever seen.

Once he homered in his first at bat after hip replacement surgury. I have never seen so many tears of joy in a stadium. Then he hit a 3-run homerun to clinch the Division Title for The White Sox some years ago. I was sitting in the mezanine, and I thought the ball was a long pop-out. It was amazing, being a baseball fan, I learned long ago not to watch the ball, but to watch the outfielder. Needless to say, the left fielder stood there, took two steps back, then he stood there, took two steps back, stood there waiting, took two more steps back, stood there and took another two steps back into the wall and watched the ball sail into the left field bleachers. It was the most amazing home run I ever saw (yes, more amazing than Ron Kittle hitting the upper deck roof at the old ballpark back in 1983) as the ball hung for ever - Time froze.

Did I go off on a tangent again?
